Chambers History

Mr. Ahmad Sobhan established his law chambers in 1951 which was later as “SOBHAN & SOBHAN”, Legal Advisers. It is one of the two oldest law chambers of the country. He was one of the noted lawyers of his time.

AHMAD SOBHAN was elected the President of the Supreme Court Bar Association in 1972 and again in 1976. He was elected the Vice Chairman of Asian Lawyers Association in 1982.

The present head of the chambers since 1984, Barrister Masood R. Sobhan, is the son of its founder Ahmad Sobhan. He got his LL.B from University of Dhaka then Diploma in Law from City University (U.K). He was called to the Bar of England and Wales from the Hon’ble Society of Lincolns’ Inn in 1980 and since then he has been practicing in the Supreme Court of Bangladesh.

Barrister Sobhan is the President of Barristers’ Association of Bangladesh for past 5 years.
